Terms of Use

Effective August 23, 2026

These terms govern your use of the AristAI video platform. If you use it through a school, the agreement between AristAI and your school also applies, and that agreement wins where the two differ.

Your Account

  • Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Accounts belong to the school's tenant. Your school's administrators can disable accounts and set roles.
  • Tell us or your school promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Acceptable Use

  • Use the platform for coursework, teaching, and the academic purposes your school provides it for.
  • Do not upload content you have no right to share, and do not re-distribute recordings outside the access your school grants: classroom recordings can contain other students.
  • Do not probe, overload, or interfere with the service, other tenants, or the content protection on video streams.
  • Accessibility features (captions, transcripts, audio description) are part of the service; do not disable or circumvent them for other users.

Content

Your school and its users keep ownership of what they upload. You give us the license needed to host, transcode, caption, index, and stream that content to the people your school authorizes, and nothing beyond that. AI-generated captions, transcripts and descriptions are provided as accessibility aids; a human reviewer can correct them and the corrected version wins.

Availability and Changes

We aim to keep the service available and will announce planned maintenance to your school. Features may evolve; we will not remove an accessibility capability your school relies on without an equivalent replacement.

Termination

Your school controls its tenant and your access to it. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, and we will tell your school when we do.

Disclaimers and Liability

The service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. For institutional customers, the liability terms of the signed agreement between AristAI and the school apply.
